IWNG Lunch edition 12

The 12th edition of the IWNG Monthly lunch is a special one!
We are collaborating with the WBII – Women’s Business Initiative International from The Hague.

Come join this event and visit MUSEUM ROTTERDAM for an exhibition with powerful women in sports and afterward we mingle, network and chat during lunch at AYLA.

Museum Rotterdam was founded in 1905 as Museum of Antiquities, by a bourgeois elite that wanted to educate Rotterdam’s growing working-class population, attracted by the development of the transit port.

It later became the Historical Museum of Rotterdam that glorified Rotterdam´s Golden Age in a time that the modern city centre lacked its previous historical references due to its destruction in the bombardment of 1940.

Women are more than ever the face of sports country, the Netherlands. Since 2000, even more than half of the Dutch sports medals have been won by women! Time to place the female (top) athletes on a pedestal.
Rotterdam women, that is! Museum Rotterdam presents ‘Girlpower’, a sporting expo about Rotterdam sportswomen. From swimmer Rie Mastenbroek to kickboxer Amira Tahri and from hockey star Fatima Moreira de Melo to cyclist Leontien van Moorsel; they are all reviewed.

Costs for this event:

9,50 Museum ticket or 4,50 if we come with a minimum of 15 women.
Free if you have a Museum Jaarkaart or Rotterdam Pass.

Lunch costs: as always, you pay only for what you eat and drink.

AYLA is conveniently located across Rotterdam CS, so after the museum visit, it’s a short walk to catch the train, tram or bus to you next destination.
